So it has finally happened. People said it couldn't be done; that there was too much institutional inequality in the system, that the gap could not be bridged. However I am happy to tell you, that all those naysayers have been proven wrong.

No longer are women the only ones required to live up to unrealistic body ideals, or do their best to hide the fact that they can't. Men too are now living according to the very same constraints. As proof of this I give you:

SPANX FOR MEN

I know others will raise the specter of other double standards that exist, such as the player/slut dichotomy, but we do not care about that now. All we care about is that yet another blow has been struck, and surely true equality is not far away.

On another note, while Spanx for men is selling like hotcakes in the good ol US of A, I wonder if it will be as huge a hit in Nigeria. After all, who's gonna believe that you are rich if they can't see your pot belly?
